Thank you for attending the 2009 YRITWC Biennial Summit!
Our Watershed Council Summits are an exciting opportunity to gather together with the entire leadership and partners, representing 66 current signatory Tribe and First Nation governments as well as friends and supporters from across North America and abroad. With three days of discussions, trainings for environmental technicians, and community potlatches, they are an opportunity to learn about the diverse watershed, make important decisions about Watershed protection, and ensure that our many efforts to preserve and protect the Yukon River and its tributaries are continuing strong.
YRITWC relies on each signatory Tribe to send an authorized Council representative to participate in our full Board votes in order for decisions to be official consensus representations of the Watershed Council. We hope that environmental managers, youth delegates, and elders will also join us for the trainings, conversations, and decisions.
