Regional Response Team Lead

 

Duration: 12 months with possible extension pending funding
Compensation: TBD

The Yukon River Inter-Tribal Watershed Council Brownfield Tribal Response Program is looking for an individual to manage oil spill response equipment and take the lead on small-scale regional oil spill response.

The qualified applicant should be a resident of a community within the Yukon River Watershed and have a minimum of the 40hr HAZWOPER certification and extensive knowledge of the village and region. The applicant should have a means to be contacted (Internet or telephone) and have access to a fax machine. Other recommended – but not required – trainings are CPR/First Aid and Site Supervisor Training.

Duties include inventorying response equipment and personal protective equipment every 3 months, and responding to small-scale oil spills within the village and region.

The selected individual will receive a small stipend for the position.
