Past Work on Site

Several chlorinated VOCs, including tetrachloroethene (PCE); trichloroethene (TCE); cis-1,2-dichloroethene (cis-1,2-DCE); trans-1,2-DCE; 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane (1,1,2,2-PCA); 1,1,2- trichloroethane (1,1,2-TCA); and methylene chloride were detected in soil samples collected from borings along the West Perimeter Road within Site SS025 at concentrations exceeding ADEC Method 2 clean up levels (CULs) for migration to groundwater. The concentrations of TCE were generally greater than the other chlorinated VOCs. The highest TCE concentrations were detected in the 10-12 and 18-20 feet bgs samples (3.5 and 13.9 J milligram per kilogram [mg/kg], respectively). Except for methylene chloride, no chlorinated VOCs were detected at concentrations exceeding the Method 2 CULs for migration to groundwater in samples deeper than 20 feet bgs at this location. TCE has not been detected in groundwater samples collected within Site SS025 at concentrations exceeding extent screening levels. Chlorinated VOCs including TCE were detected in wells outside the administrative site boundaries of SS025 at concentrations exceeding screening levels
