During excavation and removal of heating oil tanks at the living quarters area, soils at two heating oil tank sites were found to be contaminated. It is not known whether groundwater is contaminated. Multiple tank sites, one of which is closed effective 9/15/00. Contaminated soils were excavated at the site of tank 14-C-1. Confirmation samples showed that site cleanup levels were met, and no further action status was granted for the tank site.
