Past Work on Site

On 12/6/89 ADEC was informed that the ground surrounding the village utilities diesel tanks had become saturated with fuel. Period of release estimated to have been since August 1988. Village well located within 100 feet of the aboveground storage tanks and gasoline contamination found at the tap. An investigation took place in 2012-13, through EPA's Targeted Brownfield Assessment (TBA) program, at the Rock Hill Warehouse site where excavated contaminated soil from multiple releases from the Tetlin Utilities Tank Farm (Hazard ID 859), and other material, was drummed and stored. The TBA was requested by the Tetlin Village Council. Brownfield file number 230.57.002 was set up to track brownfield project work at the disposal site.
